We had the pleasure of attending a @belfastareachamber After Hours event on Wednesday. These are monthly gatherings of Chamber members for networking and socializing in and around Belfast, Maine.
It's a terrific opportunity for both, especially when you consider that these events are held at various businesses around the greater Belfast and Waldo County area.
August's event was held at the Belfast Municipal Airport. We not only got to rub elbows with some of Belfast, Maine's outstanding business owners, but we also met some of the pilots (and aeronautic enthusiasts) who club about.
We saw several life flights take off and land during the event. We also got to meet some friendly Army helicopter pilots. (They even let us sit in the cockpit!)
Anyway, I'm a huge advocate of the Belfast Area Chamber of Commerce. Thank you to Dorothy, Scott, and the rest of the Chamber team for their tireless efforts bringing this small Maine community together! And thanks to the the Belfast Municipal Airport for hosting such a great event!
